Oh Em Geee Yall!!! I officially hit 10,000 followers on Instagram!

I know that 10K might not sound that big to some people, it’s a huge milestone for me, and that’s why I want to share my sincere gratitude with YOU and with everyone who lifts me up and keeps me going. And not just on Instagram – I am grateful for each one of my Facebook followers and my loyal blog subscribers, too! I am looking forward to sharing SoFortWorthIt with many more people, so if you’re not already following me, please click HERE! And if you are, please tell a friend!

Reaching this Instagram milestone is especially meaningful because this year also marks the 10th anniversary of SoFortWorthlt! The opportunity to engage with so many real people in such an organic and interactive way ALL THESE YEARS has been awe-inspiring, and I truly appreciate your trust and your time.

I started SoFortWorthlt in 2012 when my dear friend Hal, owner of Fort Worth Magazine, asked if I would become their social blogger. As a Fort Worth native, I was thrilled because I am so passionate about our city! I have spent decades involved with philanthropy work and volunteering with local nonprofits, including serving as president of the Panther Club, which supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tarrant County. This, combined with my love for food, people and supporting local businesses, put me in a pretty perfect position to be an “influencer” before that was even a thing.

The name SoFortWorthit came out of a brainstorming session with my mom – of course cocktails were involved! I shared my experiences and expertise with Fort Worth Magazine’s online readers for more than four years, but in 2016 I decided to go independent, and SoFortWorthlt.com was born. Since then, I’ve covered entertaining tips, home and interior design, social events, dining, travel, holidays, health and beauty, and soooo much more! I especially love sharing all things Fort Worth. In addition to entertaining more than 35,000+ followers across all media channels, I also serve as the Lifestyle Editor for Monticello Neighborhood News Magazine. PLUS being a mom, wife, daughter and friend. PLUS staying busy creating content for YOU, my fabulous followers! YOU are the reason I keep going. It’s my life, I love it, and I hope it brings joy to you, too.

I do want to send a quick thank you shout-out to some people who must be named. Baker family for hosting this EPIC photo shoot. My assistant, Mallory, is my right hand. Or more accurately, she holds my right hand – without her direction and dedication, SoFortWorthlt wouldn’t be possible. My photographer, Laura ensures this site has some of the most delicious pics on the Internet. To my Go-To-Gals: you all are just like love – patient, kind, and always rejoicing in the truth. To my family: Jason, my parents, my boys – you all are my reason and my rock. Through you, I know the meaning of unconditional love.

Now, without further ado, I raise my Champagne glass and give a toast to you, and you, and you… 10,000 times!
