Welcome to The Re-Relaunch of SoFortWorthIt

SFWI_RelaunchGraphic_2

Hiiii!!!! Welcome back to SoFortWorthIt, AGAIN! Holy crap, have I missed the ever-loving daylights out of ya’ll!

Soooo, I was dealt some unexpected Joker cards over the past twelve months. But, you know what they say, when life gives you lemons…by golly, get a bottle of Vodka and make one helluva drink. It’s all about coming out with the winning hand!

WTF Vodka

In order to give the quality and user experience you deserve, I made the decision to scrap my first site three weeks after its inaugural launch in September 2016. I immediately hired former IT director of Project Veritas, Jim DiMeo. This website was built by someone who ran the back end of the company who brought many evil doers to justice, and Jim took the time to focus and understand the mission behind my website. I will never hire another web developer besides Jim, ever again. Lesson learned, unfortunately the hard way.

Nicole Ellis, the super talented Visual Brand Designer and owner of Sweet Southern Pixels, is the mastermind behind the new SoFortWorthIt’s logo/branding design, print collateral and social media templates. She specializes in helping female entrepreneurs create all things fabulous. I’ve truly been blown away by all of her talent. I consider her one of the best in the industry.

Last, but not least of all the companies I worked with, big props and three cheers to Balcom Agency! It was absolutely incredible working with them. Their professionalism exceeded everything I have ever experienced in their field before. Bar none, Balcom Agency is THE best of its kind in all of Fort Worth and the greater cities.

This website re-relaunch was made possible with the incredible support and encouragement of people around me.  I relied on several dear friends to make SoFortWorthIt what it is today. Special shout outs to the following peeps:

SARAH

Sarah Arnold

My childhood best friend, interior designer, granny panty super model and mother of my Godson. Also, Sarah doesn’t eat green vegetables and lettuce still makes her gag.

JENNY

Jenny Pace Dupree

Delta Gamma Big Sis at SMU, acrylic painting mastermind and mini Martha Stewart extraordinaire. Jenny’s also been known to do a perfect ballet performance to an original 1977 Star Wars record playing.

FRENCH

Sheridan French

Sister in Christ, spot on singer of Miley Cyrus’s Wrecking Ball and former fashion blogger of The Southern Eclectic. This girl will make you laugh so hard, tears will roll down your legs!

ERMA

Erma Lee

My babysitter of 25 years (do the math, yes we both need counseling) who edits my work in exchange for great meals and witty conversation with me. My boys agree she’s still the best babysitter, with her lenient parenting style. No wonder I had so much fun with her when growing up. Funny how history repeats itself.

Unknown-2

Lizzie Cox Welborn

My next door neighbor and childhood BFF, who wreaked havoc with me on our bikes while terrorizing Ridglea neighborhoods. Many advised me, but she was the one who spent hours helping to finalize details Nicole sent for approval. Lizzie specializes in custom, hand-rendered and painted paper designs, commissioned children’s portraits, special occasion décor and tablescapes on top of taking on very select groups of full-scale interior design projects.

VICTORIA-2

Victoria Wise

Creative genius of the Facebook group and blog, Tanglewood Moms, and founder of Made Worthy magazine. The biggest cheerleader of SoFortWorthIt was Victoria, who encouraged me to believe I could be successful independent from Fort Worth Magazine. She also allowed me to use her blogsite to sponsor my wildly popular ‘Ultimate & Best in DFW’ holiday articles while we were building the second website.

Janie Harper

A big shout out to my neighbor who makes everyone ROTFL. Not only does Janie keep the neighborhood in line, she also kept me focused on the big picture. She helped me turn a negative situation into a positive one with her pep talks and encouraging words! Let me tell you, cocktails with this woman are soo much fun!

Tammie Rhinehart

And finally, a special thank you to my incredible assistant. For the past four years, Tammie has held my hand through it all, particularly during the last 12 months. She scraped me up off the floor when crap hit the fan hard enough to knock me to my knees. She has been my extra set of hands, especially helping us with my precious mother-in-law who is suffering from dementia. Tammie is also the primary contact for all things pertaining to SoFortWorthIt. Seriously, I couldn’t live without this woman!

One of the new features of SoFortWorthIt is?  Drum roll, please.
